Music Matters

Research consistently demonstrates that the study of music and exposure to music education at a young age has a profound impact on a Young Person’s development. The Ditty Foundation partners with youth-focused organizations to foster creativity and learning by instilling a passion for music. In particular, music education improves self-discipline skills, early cognitive development, basic math and reading abilities, self-esteem, ability to work in teams, spatial reasoning skills, and school attendance.

Our ongoing, innovative music programs and outreach embrace and encourage artistic creativity and academic excellence, and produce lifelong professional and non-professional musicians, that continue to incorporate the joy of music in their lives.

DittyU serves a diverse group of young people and is accessible to all, regardless of their socioeconomic standing. Our programs are free to the student and donation dependent, and we appreciate the overwhelming support we receive from the Ditty community of both musicians and music lovers.
